Desktop Pet Software License Agreement

This license governs your use of the Desktop Pet software ("Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to be bound by the terms of this license.

1. Grant of License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

  • Download and install the Software on your personal devices
  • Use the Software for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Create backups of the Software for your own use

2. Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • Distribute, sell, or sublicense the Software
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software

  • OpenAI Python SDK: Licensed under MIT License

These components are subject to their respective licenses, which may be more restrictive than this license.

4. Assets and Content

All visual assets, including:

  • Pet sprites and animations
  • UI graphics and icons
  • Sound effects and music
  • Fonts and typography

Are proprietary and protected by copyright. You may not extract, modify, or redistribute these assets.

5. Open Source Contributions

If you wish to contribute to the open source components of Desktop Pet:

  • Follow the contribution guidelines
  • Submit pull requests through GitHub
  • Ensure your contributions are compatible with the existing license

6. Warranty Disclaimer
